The immediate hotels in the University Circle area where the Cleveland is, would be the Intercontinental (on the Cleveland Clinic's Campus), Glidden House, and Baricelli Inn. All of these places are a little pricey, although the Interncontinnental might be a good rate depending which website you reserve through. If the Clinic is the only thing you are coming in town for, the Interconninental is certainly your best choice in terms of location.

The nicest hotels and cheapest hotels in Cleveland are all downtown and within a ten minute drive to the Cleveland Clinic (via Chester Road- fastest way to go). My top three luxury hotels in Cleveland would be the Ritz, Renaissance, and Hyatt. Good mid-price hotels might be the Wyndam (in Playhouse Sqaure), Marriot, and Crowne Plaza. The best budget hotels would be the Holdiay Inn Express, Hampton, and Radisson. Downtown hotels would be the easiest to get cab service to and from the Clinic than anywhere else in Cleveland.

If you look up hotels in Beachwood (a very nice suburb with Cleveland's best shopping centers), you might find a number of good deals and fairly good quality hotels. All of these would be in extremely reasonable driving distance (15 minutes) and easy to get to the Clinic if you have a car. From all the hotels in Beachwood, it is a pretty straight shot down Cedar Road.
