Jacobs Pavilion is an anchor in the Flats. It’s the perfect place for Cleveland lovers to enjoy music by the river and take in some of the best views in the city. The peaceful waters on warm summer evenings create a perfect juxtaposition for a loud, rocking concert in the pavilion. Fans can watch boats cruise by and feel the cool evening air all around them as they wait for their favorite artists to take the stage. The potential for elaborate show lighting in the pavilion is also quite a draw, creating another unusual outdoor music experience.

Hidden in Cleveland Heights, Cain Park is an unusual venue with a great selection of shows every summer. The venue has brought acts like The Beach Boys, Average White Band, Earth Wind & Fire, and Arlo Guthrie. There are two theaters, the Alma Theater and the Evans Theater, that provide cover for fans, but the Evans Theater also has a lawn seating area. The openness of the theaters allow guests to get fresh air from all angles, and the lawn seating doesn’t sacrifice quality of sound and enjoyment.

A little outside of Cleveland, the Nelson Ledges Quarry Park is a fantastic space for outdoorsy music fans. This campground and outdoor activity hub is great for people that like to camp during the summer, get away from the city for a couple of nights, enjoy outdoor music on small stages with large wide open viewing space, and even do some cliff diving (this is only for the bravest of visitors with great caution). The stages are just that: stages, built outside on somewhat of a beach, with no covering for the crowd. That said, bring your sunscreen and plenty of water!
