Downtown parking Cleveland

Home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland, OH is one of the biggest cities in Ohio, as well as a popular destination for music lovers. There are tons of things to see and do in Cleveland, but parking around the city can be difficult. Check out our Cleveland parking facts and tips to find the best spot in the city.

Parking Lots & Spaces: There are a ton of parking lots around downtown Cleveland but only an average of 284 parking spaces per lot so these lots can get filled up quickly. Plan ahead and arrive early to ensure yourself a prime parking spot.

Airport Parking: Parking at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport can get pricey, with the lots closest to the terminal charged $3 per hour or $14 per day. If you're taking a long trip and want to save on parking costs, try leaving your car at the Economy Lot for $8 a day. This lot has 640 parking spaces and a free shuttle service that continuously runs through the Economy lot and will take you right to your terminal door.

Perimeter Parking: Parking in the center of downtown Cleveland can be a little expensive at $7-$12 per day. If you don't mind walking a bit, try parking farther away from the city center at the perimeter of downtown where lots charge $1-$3 per day for parking.

Street Parking: Cleveland Street District has 45 metered spaces and charges $0.50 per hour. 6 of these meters have 30 minute maximums for quick turnover in the busiest areas of downtown. Meters are enforced Monday-Friday from 8am-6pm.

Pro Tip 1: Be careful of parking during the winter months. After a heavy snowfall the city can issues "snow bans" on parking. There are 2 types of bans that can be issued - a "general" ban which prohibits parking on main city streets or an "all-city" ban which prohibits parking on an city street. Be sure to move your car ASAP after any snowfall to avoid getting ticketed or towed.
