20 Ohio Colleges that provide highest earning potential
CLEVELAND, Ohio - How much will you make with your college degree?
A wealth of new data on the nation's colleges - released last year by the U.S. Department of Education on the "College Scorecard" website - paints a detailed picture of costs, graduation rates and student debt.
The Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce in Washington used the scorecard to calculate earnings for students who attended 1, 400 four-year colleges. The federal data is based on the income of former students who received federal financial aid while attending college.
"Ranking Your College, Where You Go and What You Make, " focuses on earnings 10 years after students begin their studies. It does not factor in the composition of majors, and it includes both graduates and non-graduates.
Cleveland.com used the Georgetown study to rank Ohio colleges with the highest median earnings.
