Tell us about Savo + June.

The blog is pretty new. I started it in February. I am 100 percent Greek and Savvato is Saturday, that's my favorite day of the week so I made it Savo and June is my birth month and it's always been a good month for me. It means something to me. You can see it at AnastasiaSouris.com

Did you study fashion?

I graduated in 2015 from the fashion school at Ohio University. I studied retail merchandising and after working all over the place, it's just not what I want to do anymore. I've gotten into PR and marketing. I can be creative in those fields. Ideally, I'd like to work in branding and create my own brand. I love visuals and honing in on a vision. Fashion was always where I wanted to be, but I didn't study design because I can't draw. I have the vision, so I do remake clothing items from vintage things for myself. I can only do it for me.

What is the brand you want to create?

The blog is the brand. It started off as a fun thing. I've worked with some great companies and that gave me the push to do this. I think I've found my niche. The blog is about lifestyle. I love food and beauty. I'm also a health nut. I'm mostly on a plant diet. I miss my Greek food and the wonderful heavy home cooked meals, but I don't punish myself. If I want an Oreo, I'll have it. I experiment with recipes. I made mac and cheese out of cauliflower with no dairy.

How else do you stay fit?

I've always been into working out. I ran track for seven years so I was always in the weight room and running miles. Now I love yoga and boxing. I also do Pilates.

Did you always plan to return to Cleveland?

No, I was never planning to come back. I did an internship in New York for Steve Madden then I went straight to Los Angeles and did an internship at BCBG's corporate office. I loved it. LA is my scene and I want to go back. I had one more year of college then moved to New York City for a May to August internship with Victoria Secret's PR and marketing. That was an amazing dream job and I thought I would stay. I loved the job, but disliked the city. It was very lonely, even though I had friends there. I came back here and have stayed a little longer than I thought I would. This is such a different, cooler Cleveland than it used to be.

Was it tough being a college student with a love of fashion? Did you have to budget?

Oh yes! I am finally now working full-time and I have a little more freedom to buy. In school, you're so busy with class that there isn't a lot of time to shop. As for my look, I've always been a little different and I think I was nervous to express myself as much. Everyone knew fashion was my thing and I was trendy but I used to care if people made comments. I'm not like that anymore, I embrace my look.
