General Information

The Joseph S. & Jeannette M. Silber Hope Lodge is a unique home away from home for people who need temporary, comfortable, supportive accommodations offered free of charge during cancer treatment. For its guests, Hope Lodge offers 31 guest rooms with a private bedroom/bathroom suite (most rooms have 2 double beds) and shared kitchen, library, dining room, living room, and surrounding gardens.

Guests make themselves at home, engaging in such normal activities as buying groceries, preparing meals, doing dishes, working at the computer terminals, working out, or watching television. Hope Lodge provides a positive environment for those seeking either privacy or the supportive fellowship of others experiencing similar circumstances and emotions.

Hope Lodge Facility

For its guests, Hope Lodge offers 31 guest rooms with a private bedroom/bathroom suite (most rooms have 2 double beds) and shared kitchen, library, dining room, living room, and surrounding gardens.

Hope Lodge is located at the corner of East 115th Street and Mayfield Road in University Circle, one of Cleveland's major health, educational and cultural hubs.

From the South/ Airport:
Take I71 North to Chester Ave.
Turn right onto Chester Ave. Follow Chester approx. 3.5 miles
Turn left onto Euclid Ave. Follow Euclid approx .75 miles. Move into the right hand lane.
Turn right onto Mayfield Rd/ Route 322.
Hope Lodge is located on the right, 4 driveways from the intersection

From the West:
Take I90East to MLK Drive.
Turn left onto MLK Drive. Follow MLK Drive approx. 3.5 miles.
Turn left onto Euclid Ave. Follow Euclid approx .75 miles. Move into the right hand lane.
Turn right onto Mayfield Rd/ Route 322.
Hope Lodge is located on the right, 4 driveways from the intersection

From the East/North:
From 1271, take the Mayfield Rd WEST exit.
Follow Mayfield Rd. approx. 7 miles.
Turn left into the Hope Lodge parking lot, 2 blocks after a train trestle.

Staff and Volunteers

The Cleveland Hope Lodge is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The staff includes the manager, Tracy Michael, assistant manager, Simone Swanson, and David Moss the resident coordinator. The Lodge is very fortunate to have a strong, dedicated team of weekend coordinator that ensure the Hope Lodge runs flawlessly and that the guests are well taken care of.
