Best Malls in Cleveland

Just east of Cleveland, the combination of Beachwood Place and the adjacent Legacy Village (see below) is one of the better upscale shopping destinations in the Midwest.

Malls located within short distances from I-90 include the Great Lakes Mall in Mentor, east of Cleveland, and most easily accessed using the Route 306 exit, and Crocker Park (discussed below) in Westlake. The most distinctive feature of the Great Lakes Mall is a double-sized Dillard's, with one store featuring men's clothing and another women's clothing. Macy's is another anchor at Great Lakes.

Downtown Cleveland:

• A major addition and renovation took place in the early 1990s of Cleveland ’s beautiful neoclassical landmark skyscraper: The Terminal Tower. The complex is now known as Tower City Center and it serves many functions. Among marble columns, gilded storefronts and fountains visitors can enjoy this indoor oasis off Public Square in the heart of downtown Cleveland. Here you will find fine dining, cinema, luxury accommodations, a food court, and a variety of shops. Notable shops include GAP, Godiva Chocolate, MAC Cosmetics, Brooks Brothers, Nine West, Ann Taylor, Victoria Secret, Charlotte Russe, and Kuhlman’s. Tower City also serves as the hub for the countywide system of bus and rapid transit (Greater Cleveland RTA).

West Side Suburban Cleveland:

• - This is not your typical suburban shopping mall. It is a new neighborhood with a mix of national and regional retailers and local boutiques strung along an attractive streetscape with restaurants, townhouses, and things to do. In fact, Crocker Park has become a model of New Urbanism principles and is attracting national attention for its unique design and mixed uses. Here you will find shops such as Urban Outfitters, H&M, Trader Joe’s, Coach, Abercrombie, Hollister, J. Crew, and Banana Republic. Crocker Park has a niche in apparel for teenagers and young adults. Crocker Park is conveniently located fifteen minutes west of downtown Cleveland off Interstate-90.

East Side Suburban Cleveland:

• Beachwood Place - High-end shops are plentiful at Beachwood Place with department store anchors like Saks Fifth Avenue, Dillard’s, and Nordstrom’s. Other shops - just to name a few - include Swarovski, Cleveland Trunk, Arden B., BCBG, Origins, Pottery Barn, Guess, Sephora, Cache, and Bose. Beachwood Place is located East of downtown Cleveland off Interstate-271 or down Cedar Road from University Circle.
